〔體育中心／綜合報導〕「中三日」的洋基王牌柯爾（Gerrit Cole）今天的表現絲毫未見疲態，他在3局的投球中面對光芒狂飆7次三振，追平洋基隊史季後賽最多三振紀錄。
柯爾在3局對光芒飆出7次三振沒有被打出任何一支安打，這也讓他生涯在季後賽對陣光芒隊的三振數來到了40次，他也是大聯盟史上第6位能夠在季後賽面對單一球隊飆出40次三振的投手。
柯爾在4局投完後飆出8K，連續3場季後賽都有8次三振以上的表現，是洋基季後賽史上第一人。
洋基隊在4局打完靠著「法官」賈吉（Aaron Judge）的陽春彈與柯爾的好投，在美聯分區系列賽驟死第五戰，以1：0領先光芒隊。
