〔體育中心／綜合報導〕日本火腿季後補強洋將，根據《FanSided》記者穆雷（Robert Murray）指出，火腿將網羅前國民隊投手P.墨菲（Patrick Murphy），雙方簽下1年合約，並附帶2025年的選擇權。
現年28歲的P.墨菲曾效力過大聯盟藍鳥和國民隊，2020年迎來大聯盟初登板。P.墨菲去年在國民隊出賽6場，共投5.2局失6分4分自責，防禦率為6.35。P.墨菲生涯在大聯盟3個賽季累積35場出賽，平均防禦率為4.76。
P.墨菲今年都待在3A舞台，共出賽42場有4場先發，戰績6勝4敗防禦率3.69，共投85.1局賞97次三振，但也出現50次保送，被打擊率為2成56，每局被上壘率為1.56。
身高196公分、體重95公斤的P.墨菲，上個賽季的四縫線速球均速為96.1英里（約154.7公里），主要武器有曲球和伸卡球。此外，P.墨菲曾在2021年飆出159公里的火球。
