〔體育中心／綜合報導〕遊騎兵35歲老將艾歐瓦迪（Nathan Eovaldi）本季先發16場，防禦率僅1.58，卻未能進入今年的明星賽。根據《ESPN》知名記者帕桑（Jeff Passan）報導，遊騎兵仍發出10萬美元獎金（約新台幣296萬）給艾歐瓦迪。
艾歐瓦迪去年12月以3年7500萬美元續留遊騎兵，今年是他大聯盟生涯第15個賽季，生涯兩度入選明星賽，艾歐瓦迪是2018年紅襪世界大賽冠軍成員、也是2023年遊騎兵奪冠成員之一。
艾歐瓦迪本季曾因三頭肌傷勢缺陣約一個月，今年先發16場拿到7勝3敗、防禦率只有1.58，共投91局賞94次三振，被打擊率1成94，每局被上壘率（WHIP）僅0.85。
此外，遊騎兵37歲強投德葛隆（Jacob deGrom）本季先發19場拿到9勝2敗、防禦率2.32，共投112.1局賞113次三振，每局被上壘率為0.91。德葛隆今年入選明星賽，這是他生涯第5次，也將獲得10萬美元獎金。
