Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon on Thursday asked Koreans to reduce their power usage in winter, to help the country maintain a stable power supply and sufficient power reserves.
總理李洛淵週四請求南韓人在冬天減少用電，以協助國家維持穩定供電和足夠的備轉容量。
"Most countries recommend room temperatures be kept between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius," Lee said during a meeting in Sejong. "But there are people who wear shorts indoors during the winter, and they need to reduce power use by lowering their room temperatures a little. Too much heating has an adverse effect on health."
李洛淵在世宗市一場會議中說，「大部分的國家建議，房間溫度維持在攝氏18度至20度間」。「但有人冬天在市內穿短褲。他們也有必要藉由降低一點自己房間的溫度來減少用電。暖氣吹太久，反而對健康有害」。
"Coal-fired thermal power plants will partially stop operations or limit power generation to reduce emissions of fine dust between December and February by 44 percent compared to a year ago," he said.
他還說，「燃煤的火力發電廠將部分停止運轉，或限制發電，以減少12月到2月間粉塵的排放量，達到年減44%」。
